The village of Tuba is in Area C of the West Bank next to the Ma'on Settlement. Tensions between Palestinian farmers and Israeli settlers run high as each group claims the land in the Southern Hebron hills as their own. Ahmad Jundiyeh is a Shepherd in Tuba who lives and deals with this conflict everyday.
The Jundiyeh family graze their livestock in the valleys of the Southern Hebron Hills. They often are accompanied by international activists who document confrontations with Settlers and the IDF during the Jundiyeh's day-to-day grazing.
Ahmad Jundiyeh spends his time shepherding his family's livestock. He is a volunteer at B'Tselem's citizen journalism project which was created to collect video footage filmed by volunteers who suffer human rights abuses in the Occupied Territories.
Ahmad's father sits in a wildflower field just outside of the refugee camp of Tuba in the Southern Hebron hills. He and his family were expelled from their homes in 1997 when the Ma'on settlement was constructed on the land the Jundiyeh's were raised on.
The Jundiyeh family herds their livestock as the sun sets over Tuba village in the West Bank. The family lives off their animals and the land.
